How it began…
We started with just an empty building and a goal in mind. Relocate the family restaurant and add Korean BBQ, but we realized the concepts clashed. We went back to the drawing board and streamlined our concept to Korean BBQ, but wanted to make it more approachable and modern. Mom had managed the family restaurant for years. Dad was a contractor by trade. Brother was a tech savvy ‘brainiac’ working in San Francisco. Sister was the restaurant hotelier working for Marriott and Ritz Carlton.
It took the entire family to make the restaurant what it is today. Indeed each of our superpowers came together. Dad did the construction for the restaurant and added creative touches (Ask us when you come in!). Mom still keeps the food authentic and handles all the purchasing from the strong long-term relationship with suppliers that she had built over the years (This is crucial!). Brother helped develop the initial website from his computer in San Francisco. Sister ended up leaving her career in hotel restaurants and now manages the day-to-day operations.
